As you know our country has been combating with the dangers of human trafficking for a long time. Our goal is to create more awareness in this issue by use of multimedia. 10 million Filipinos work abroad and there has been many cases of migrant workers being subjected to sex trafficking and forced labor. Traffickers, trap them through deceptive recruitment practices that leave the workers vulnerable to trafficking. However, forced labor and sex trafficking within the country is also an epidemic and there is not enough publicity about it. Trafficking occurs in form of sex trafficking, forced labor and other forms. Our goal is to create a forceful campaign again all forms of trafficking by use of multimedia. Specifically we want to create literature that can be distributed to school starting from young kids all the way to universities and also distributed via faith based, community and any other groups. Our first round of literature will focus on girls ages 7 to 18 and will enlighten them on the reality and the dangers of sex trafficking. We have the scripts written and all funds will go towards layout, editing, drawing, print and publishing of the literature in form of brochures, mini-books, animations and comic books. All which will be available in English and Tagalog. As a part of our community here in Manila we welcome you to join hands with St. Peters and the rest of our diocese in this noble effort.
